It might seem a bit unconventional, but Mud’s Pulled Pork in Sticky BBQ Sauce is the pie version of a BBQ favourite - and it’s great for al fresco dining!
Sourcing only the best quality and happiest outdoor-reared pork, we start by marinading and infusing the meat for 24 hours. Our special blend of cayenne pepper, garlic, muscovado sugar and herbs adds a beautiful depth and combination of flavours to this top quality ingredient. When ready, we gently and slowly cook everything on a bed of red onions, in a large shallow pan of orange juice.
After 6 hours, the meat becomes meltingly succulent and, after shredding, it’s time to add our homemade sweet and sticky barbecue sauce, along with roasted red peppers and sweetcorn. The resulting juicy pie filling is full of intricate flavours that complement the crispness of our signature butter-rich pastry beautifully.
