News from the 2024 British Pie Awards - Mud has 2 Reserve Winners!

Christian, Mud’s Chief Pie Maker, has achieved two Reserve Winners for his Steak and Ale Pie, and Black Forest Gateau Pie, as well as many gold, silver and bronze medals for our other pies.  Bringing our total number of awards overall to a staggering 145!  That’s no mean feat.

The British Pie Awards, held at St Mary’s Church in Melton Mowbray, is in its 16th year and competition only gets stiffer.  There are 24 classes and nearly 900 pies were judged this year, so it's very hard to stand out from the crowd.  But that is exactly what Mud did at the awards ceremony.

We’re delighted that our Steak and Ale Pie has received the accolade of Reserve Winner, it’s the best recognition we've ever had for our flagship pie.

And we’re incredibly pleased that our brand new Black Forest Gateau Pie was also placed.  That was the icing on the cake!  PLUS we loved receiving another gold medal for our Chip Shop Chicken Curry Pie and a silver for our very special Steak and Tunworth Cheese Pie, a recent collaboration with our friends at Hampshire Cheese Company.

Christian said, "I'm delighted and very proud! Huge thanks to my incredible Mud team, whose unwavering dedication and tireless efforts consistently keep our standards at the highest level. Thus ensuring top-notch quality pies which spread happiness to our amazing, supportive customers."
