We’re really excited about this creation, which combines the finest hand-cut, grass-fed steak with Hampshire Cheese Company’s award-winning Tunworth Cheese. It’s a pie that's as decadent as it is delicious.
Working in collaboration with Stacey Hedges, the founder of Hampshire Cheese Company, our new luxury steak pie is being released especially for British Pie Week, which runs from 4th-10th March and culminates in the British Pie Awards. But this indulgent treat is already a winner with us.

When we dreamed up this combination, we realised we just had to give production of it a go: tender chunks of hand-cut steak in a smooth béchamel sauce, all infused with the luxurious creaminess of Tunworth Cheese - and we’re so glad we did! Known for its distinct aroma and creamy consistency, the Tunworth Cheese gently melts into the rich, beefy filling, adding layers of flavour and texture to every bite.
And let's not forget our pastry – our signature golden, buttery shortcrust pastry provides the perfect crisp contrast to the cheesy, meaty filling, making each mouthful a perfect mix of taste and texture.
But what makes Tunworth Cheese so special? With its soft, thin, wrinkled rind, earthy mushroom fragrance, and sweet, nutty flavour, it adds unique dimensions to our Steak and Tunworth Cheese Pie.
If you haven’t heard of Tunworth before, it’s Hampshire Cheese Company’s own take on Camembert – a soft, white-rinded cheese reminiscent of its French cousin. Made entirely by hand, from the first ladle of pasteurised whole cow's milk to being placed in its wooden box, it is a stunning example of what can come from the lush grazing available in rural Hampshire, just 25 miles from Mud HQ.
